LL had less that 11 people posting on his forum when he shut it down. No interest. Now the same 2-3 people are posting to themselves on topix. Not only does it get tiring fast because the lack of content, but my virus catcher picked up 2 Trojan Horses after a visit. You won't see me back on that site.

They are very irrelevant. They chat amongst themselves to make themselves believe they are correct in all their assumptions. They have no real audience. They should try and do something more productive in their lives.

They chat amongst themselves because they have nothing better to do except read our blogs and comment on them. I find it amusing and pathetic how the desperation to hurt or offend anyone against a casino continues to spiral further and further in the the realm of the ridiculous.

And because I put up this blog, they actually think they are relevant....they need to realize that it is nothing but amusing to watch them self implode over a casino not coming to Middleboro.

Casino or NO CASINO, Middleboro is lost with it's current leadership(it pains me to use that word). New people and new ways of finding the means to an end is what is needed. Pipe dreams and poor decisions do not make a town work. It doesn't matter what side you're on, what's better for any town is something that EVERBODY CAN BENEFIT FROM,low wage jobs and low wage earners make cities and towns more like...Brockton.

The anonymous cowards on Topix are using the same tactic that the pro-casino leaders have used all along - that people should want the casino not because it is good and will benefit the region, but because CFO is bad and the effects won't be as bad as we're saying they will.

Out on topix as on the other sites they have frequented, they are trying to alter reality and make people believe that CFO are the ones launching attacks on people. I'll hold up our body of factual blogs that analyze and explain the casino issue against their CFO attack posts any day of the week.

And another thing ....

Jane Lopes had an interesting editorial recently that I may yet blog about. Part if it dealt with the way people are treated in Middleboro when they hold an opposing view point. While I've seen some signs of improvement, I'm left to wonder if debate in Mboro will always be toxic or if it can move into a more constructive space.

The best course for anti casino people to take at this point is to refrain from reading or posting further on Topix. By doing so we will not be giving this fringe group the audience they desire. Let them talk to themselves. Oh, I shall follow my own advice.

Hi Carverchick - I was on vacation last week but managed to sign on to the Internet a couple times.

After reading this post and realizing 'they' were at it again, I decided not to bother going to topix myself. Why spoil those happy vacation vibes?

Topix flamers don't get 'it' - they blame others for their own problems, they pose as other people, they're hypocrites who claim offense at the words and actions of bloggers, yet feel perfectly entitled to call those bloggers pedophiles, terrorists and other disgusting things on a whim. And, their like-minded pals who may or may not also be posting on topix don't seem even slightly bothered by their actions. They don't seem even slightly bothered that one of them has made threats of violence against anti-casino people. In fact, some of them sem to actually encourage it.

And they want us to trust their judgement about a mega-casino?

Birds of a feather flock together - in this case, Flying Monkeys.
